Activities:

Photography competition

An International Competition for photographs depicting the socio-economic situation of Women from Albania, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia And Hercegovina, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Ukraine, And Uzbekistan and taken by women from those countries has been held. The deadline of the competition was 31^st of October 2008.

Photography Exhibition

Approximately 20 best works will form an exhibition show in Poland, Slovakia, Germany and Belgium.

Production of web based exhibition

Works shown at the exhibition will be converted into an attractive awareness rasing tool consisting of photographs and brief information distributed electronically.

Data gathering tours

In summer 2009 ten people from NMS will take part in data gathering tours in the Balkans and Caucasia where they will collect data allowing them to create innovative awareness raising materials.

Production and dissemination of awareness raising material

Innovative awareness raising material (i.e. graffiti, songs, poems, reportages) targeting specific groups will be produced and disseminated in order to increase awareness among groups in NMS where awareness about the development problems faced by women from the countries of Eastern Europe, Central Asia and the Balkans is low.

Event in Brussels

This will be the culminating event of the project, where both the exhibition and all other products of the project will be presented (awareness raising materials, the web based exhibition, the exhibition publication). The event is planned for September 2010.
