“Our Rights Are Not Optional! Advocating for the implementation of the Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW) through its Optional Protocol” is a title of the great resource guide successfully translated to Russian within the program of IWRAW Asia Pacific (International Women’s Rights Action Watch Asia Pacific) with the support of KARAT Coalition. This easy-to-use publication seeks to contribute to the ratification process of the Optional Protocol to CEDAW as well as to its effective use at the national level. The guide contains practical information for the individuals, women’s rights NGOs and other actors advocating for women’s human rights.

2007

The Activists’ guide "Mój styl, moja odpowiedzialność!" introduces the problem of labour rights violations in garment industry but also the activities undertaken for the improvement of workers’ situation mostly within the Clean Clothes Campaign (CCC). Apart from the theoretical introduction to the problem, the publication gives useful, practical guidelines for all who want to start education and/or campaign activities in this area. The guide will help them to start an activists’ group, plan and organize street action, class at school, etc. Through this guide years of experience of CCC in different countries is shared with Polish activists.

2005

“Economic Literacy Resource Kit for CEE/CIS. Gender and Economy” is resources focusing on basic economic concepts developed specifically for NGOs (and particularly gender focused NGOs) from CEE/CIS Region. The Kit consist of 9 chapters which explain economic concepts and processes relevant to women living in the Region (for example mechanisms related to the labour market; globalization; privatization). The Kit also includes training hints and exercises for basic economic literacy training, which can be provide on national, organizational and community level. The content of the Kit is based on relevant literature as well as the practical experience gained during the economic literacy trainings conducted in the past by KARAT. Its production was possible thanks to the long term co-operation with WIDE. KARAT hopes to add additional chapter to the Kit in the future.
